Sunday has and always will be my favourite day of the week, it just oozes relaxation and opportunity for me. For some people it brings anxiety for the week ahead, having to get up early the next morning for a job they don’t enjoy or spending the day not doing much of anything. However, instead of using the day to feel awful, embrace the day you have and do some things to make life easier, happier, more organised and to look after yourself more.
- Bake some fresh bread
- Have a full English breakfast
- Take a walk in the woods
- Make a Sunday roast
- Clear out the pantry
- Wash and change all the bed sheets
- Deep clean the kitchen/bathroom
- Have a pamper
- Take a long and hot bubble bath
- Binge a series on Netflix
- Go for a run
- Clean the fridge and throw out anything that is out of date or anything questionable
- Meal plan dinners for the week ahead
- Go through your handbag, clean and sort it out
- Throw a delicious casserole dinner in the slow cooker for an easy and warming dinner
- Write your Monday to do list
- Catch up with family (call your grandparents, they will appreciate it)
- Start the day with yoga
- Get off screens in the evening and end the day reading rather than mindlessly scrolling
- Watch a film you haven’t seen in ages
- Do your big food shop
- Have a lie in
- Clean and declutter the car
- Practice mindfulness, I’m using headspace for meditation at the moment and it works wonders!
- Play boardgames with the whole family
- Have an early night to be extra refreshed on Monday morning
- Find a new book on the kindle to add to your reading list
- Buy fresh flowers to brighten up the house
- Bake some cookies
- Unsubscribe to those annoying email lists you are on
What else would you do on your Sundays?
