Starbucks Vegan Menu At Broadgate In Coventry | Gifted

Vegan food seems to be popping up everywhere at the moment and I’m not complaining. As you know (or if you don’t and you’re new first of all Hi! I hope you stick around) I’m lactose intolerant. Milk and cheese is in everything and its a nightmare when eating out so I regularly go for the Vegan options and I applaud the vegan life. I eat very little meat anyway but I’m not a Vegan, maybe eventually I will be but I’m just not quite there yet.

Anyway back to the post. So I recently set up a blogger event in my local town with Starbucks it was really popular and we had an amazing turn out. Starbucks has always been close to my heart and my love of their drinks, especially the iced coconut milk mochas. They have incredible service and when I was a regular there when I worked in town they saw me and knew my order straight away, made me feel right at home!

The evening started out with us all ordering a drink, I went for the frozen strawberry and lime tea which has been a summer favourite of mine this year and it is pink so what’s not to love!? We all grabbed our drinks and sat down in front of a beautifully laid table full of coffee and delicious treats. The lovely girls from Starbucks went through some of their drinks in detail, talking about where the coffee beans are from and how they are prepared for store which gives the different strengths and flavours. It was so interested to learn all these things about something I’ve loved for a long time.

They also showed us that the different coffees actually went better with different foods and it can actually change the taste in your mouth which was really a mind blown moment. One of the coffees I tasted, I was like ‘that’s not for me’ then I tried it with the lemon drizzle cake which accompanied it and it completely changed the taste and then became my favourite one on the table. It was insane, next time you go in definitely ask what kind of food compliments your coffee and enjoy!

After our coffee lesson we tried some of their newer lunch menu. I went for the Vegan Mac and cheese. I don’t normally like Mac and cheese, I’ve always liked the idea of it but never enjoyed it when I had dairy. I really liked this though, it had a nice crunch on top and was full of flavour. I love finding things like this that I can sit and enjoy at lunch time while I’m out and about. Next time I go I will certainly be having it again and highly recommend it.

There was so many delicious meals around and everyone seemed to be enjoying them. We all had a good catch up and then we had one of the staff members talk to us about the Starbucks card which now has the facility for you to buy your drink on your app while you are out and about then go pick it up from store without queuing, what could be better than that? They also did some latte art which was really interesting but I think the poor guy was nervous as it didn’t seem to work out how he wanted but it still looked really cool. I was impressed anyway!

We got a cool gift bag with a reusable cup, some vouchers, some decaff coffee pods along with a chocolate coin and a gingerbread bear in a Starbucks uniform. I really enjoyed the night and fell back in love with the place and will be going there anytime I need to get some blogging work done as they ask if you want more coffee while you are working, bringin it to you and you can pay all without leaving your seat! What great service, I couldn’t believe it.

What is your favourite Starbucks drinks or food, let me know in the comments below!
