Halloween & All The Trimmings

So close to October, crunchy leaves on the ground and the jumpers are out. I am in my element. It is my favourite time of the year. I love everything about it, the colder weather, being all snug, having comfort food like hot pot, bangers and mash and pasta bake. I mean tell me one bad thing about Autumn/Winter? You just can’t.

I have a lot of exciting events coming up over the next few months as well, some I am organising myself for Coventry Bloggers and some I will be attending like a halloween party for one of my favourite brands. I will be trying to vlog more and upload on my YouTube channel so make sure you have subscribed my lovelies! Some of the events are still being planned so I can’t give too much away otherwise I would make a long list of what I’m going to be up to over the next few months. But I know it will be amazing and I hope I manage to vlog a lot of it.

Here are my top 5 things to do in Autumn:

  • Go to a pumpkin patch
  • Go to an Autumn fair
  • Go on a Autumn walk (great for kids, look at colourful leaves, collect conkers, make a collage)
  • Make an apple and blackberry crumble and watch scary films (or simpsons treehouse of horror)
  • Carve a pumpkin! (Go one step further and make pumpkin bread or muffins with the insides)

Something about Autumn and Winter just make me feel happy and cosy. I did read somewhere that you prefer the season you were born in so it could be that or it could be that Autumn/Winter are just the best? Lily is still really little as she’s only 14 months old but I know she will be a bit interested this year and more so as she gets older to join in the festivities and activities the seasons bring.

I will let her go trick or treating but with me and potentially avoiding certain areas as I feel like the way the world is going and the way my city is going people just can’t be trusted anymore. I see so many stories of people putting things in the candies or leaving dangerous things for the kids to hurt themselves on. What is wrong with people? I just don’t get it, if you don’t want to be involved don’t answer the door. People don’t really do the egging thing anymore. It just ruins it for everyone else. Anyway rant over.

Gosh yes, October is my favourite time of the year and it's mostly because of halloween! I love the sound of going to a pumpkin patch (would you believe that I've never been on one?!) and baking an apple and blackberry crumble… It all sounds so cosy and I'm getting excited thinking about it.Good luck on Lily's first trick or treating! And yeah you definitely need to be careful nowadays, although it's sad that we do have to be careful…

I love Autumn so much, my favourite thing is probably Autumn walks followed by hot chocolate. I agree with trick and treating, there's no harm in kids having a bit of fun it's the older ones that ruin it for the younger ones sadly Gemmawww.justgem.co.uk
