I feel really positive for 2018, I feel like it is going to be my year. I am going to make it my year. I have a lot of things I want to do, but I’m not going to kick myself if it doesn’t happen. This next year will be full of positivity, improvements and making memories. Below are 3 main things I want to focus on in my personal life.
//01 Lose weight
This is a big one that I certainly need to do. I want to make a change and be healthier for myself but also for Lily. I want to be a good role model and make sure she has healthy eating habits. I also want to be able to run around and play with her and not just sit on a bench at the park watching her because I’m too lazy. I have got the Joe Wicks Fat Loss Plan book. I am going to 100% give it ago along with the workouts to improve my fitness and fingers crossed it works. Normally when I do things at home I never stick to them because it’s so easy to derail. However, this time I feel more motivated and a lot differently.
//02 Go Out More
As mentioned in previous posts I was poorly with my pregnancy for the first half of the year and then adjusting to the mum life the second half of the year for 2017. 2018 I want to get out and see more. I also want Lily to see more. As she grows up, I want to take her to museums, to see the world and everything it has to offer. I also want to get out and have some me time. I’ve found a local book discussion group for Harry Potter. As I have just started reading the books I thought it would be a great way to get out. I’ve seen the films, so there are no spoilers and it’s held by a local blogger so a great way to network.
//03 Save, Save and Save Some More
I really want to start putting a nest egg away. There are so many things I want and need to save for. I opened up a Junior ISA for Lily the day I got her registered. This is a 3.50% account so it’s amazing interest and she can’t touch it until she’s 18. I want to start putting regular amounts in there for her. I also want to put money aside so I can start learning to drive as well as start saving for a mortgage. I would most likely use a help to buy ISA for that too. I feel this year is going to be a saving and preparing year for great things to come.
