As I’ve said in previous posts, I love planning and setting myself goals. This summer is a write off now for me to get skinny, as I’m growing a baby and my belly is bigger than ever, although I’m grateful for my little lady. I’ve never enjoyed heat, the summer or anything where I have to try to cool myself down.
With low confidence and always being on the plus size shall we say, I’ve always struggled with being comfortable in the summer. I wouldn’t go swimming, I won’t get my legs out, things like that. I don’t want my life to stop because of my weight but I’m also not going to put myself in an upsetting situation either. I can happily wander around my flat in my undies and have cold showers, but it’s no way to live and it’s time to make a change. I’m setting myself some goals to hopefully achieve by 2018 around this time or a bit later and will come back to it to see how many I have done!
- Lose ‘baby weight’ – by this I mean lose my baby belly and then continue. As I have said before I haven’t put any weight on yet so I should be lighter at the end anyway. Fingers crossed it stays that way. I would still like to get a good 4 stone off with Slimming World by this time next year after recovering from giving birth.
- Go swimming or already of gone swimming. I want to learn to swim again and be able to go to the swimming baths with my baby and Scott. It will be an great experience for the baby and also help me lose that weight.
- An unlikely but hopeful goal will be that I will be renting a house. My long term plan is to buy, but that takes a good couple years of savings. I would like to get a house just so I can have a garden where my little lady can play. Get a paddling pool, BBQ and seating. It would be amazing to have friends and family and have a little garden party.
- The last goal which would depend on us getting a house to rent which allows pets. We would be get a puppy without a second thought. Me and Scott have wanted a puppy so long and it would be a great addition to our little family.
Do you have anything you would like to achieve by this time next year? Let me know in the comments below, we can work together!
