Current Everyday Make Up | Drugstore

I’ve been slacking on the beauty front lately, my blog is more revolved around lifestyle posts and I hadn’t really been making much effort after having a tough few weeks.

I’ve been taking steps to feeling better, healthy eating, exercise and meditation. I know you properly see it all the time but it really does make a difference. I’ve also been looking after my skin a lot better which prompted me to try the Better Skin foundation and concealer from Maybelline.

It goes on so smoothly when you are blending it in either with your hands or a brush. It is a light concealer, not thick like I normally go for, but as I have been looking after my skin I have the confidence not to put so much on.

I have also been using some items which are staples in my collection like the Rimmel Brow This Way and Exaggerate Eye Liner. Another recent addition to my staples which I have re-brought straight about 6-7 times now is the Maybelline Super Stay Powder and Rimmel Pink Rose Blush.

I use these products everyday, rarely I will try something new to review but I normally stick to these beauties. The brow mascara is perfect as I do have quite thick brows and it is easy to shape them with this. Also the blush almost acts like a contour and gives my face some shape.

I did branch out and try a new mascara last month which is becoming a love of mine. Scott treated me to it. The new Maybelline Manga Mega Volume is so easy to apply. I don’t get any clumping and it gives amazing volume and it’s easy to build up as well but still look like you have open eyes. They do have this in Violet too but I don’t think I could pull off coloured lashes.

For my eyes I’ve been using a bronze colour for the lid and the lighter shimmer colour for the inner corners of my eye. The dark brown where I have finally hit pan I am using as a contour for my lid, which applies perfectly with my MAC 217 brush. I went back to my old school MUA Undress Me Too palette. MUA is such an affordable and amazing brand, the eye shadows are super pigmented and last all day.

Finally the lip, I’ve been using an old lip pencil from Topshop which they don’t do any more but there is a similar lipstick they have but it’s not a matte colour, sorry guys!

That's my favourite eye palette from MUA! Also would you say the better skin foundation would be okay for dry skin? xx
