Bella Italia | Review

Colourful and unique decor alongside the aroma of food cooking welcomes you into the Coventry Bella Italia in Belgrade Plaza. I was seated very quickly which was a surprise because it was quite busy for a weekday evening.

I opted for the Pesto Spirale for a starter, twisted pizza dough filled with mozzarella and pesto with a fiery arrabbiata dip. They tasted so fresh and it was a perfect start and reflection of the quality of the food.

The mozzarella was a melted, stringy cheese perfection, presented on a wooden platter made them look all the more appetising.

My friend Shannon, who came with me for an after work dinner had the ‘create your own pizza’ and onion rings.

You can choose whatever you want on your pizza, she chose spicy pepperoni and mushrooms. It’s looks so tasty and the dough looked fresh, I nearly pinched a slice.

The onion rings were also presented well in a cute little deep fry tray, you get a good amount of the price you pay. So they are worth having on the side to nibble on.

For my main I had the Carbonara, a typical italian dish. It was cooked extremely well and tasted amazing, I would have it again today if I could.

The Pesto Spirale tasted so nice dipped in my left over carbonara sauce, complimented the taste perfectly well.

Overall, it was a lovely dining experience, the waiter was friendly and the food came quick to the table. Although they could of done with a few extra staff, as it got busier they seemed to struggle keeping everyone happy and the wait times were longer.
