So below are my top 2 favourite mascaras. I use them for different things and if I really want my eyes to pop, I use both. The Maybelline Falsies has always been a massive love of mine, I was introduced to it from watching Tanya Burr. It’s amazing for length and really can give you that false lash effect. The Bourjois Push Up mascara is a recent discovery but jumped to my staples quickly. It’s one of the best mascara’s I’ve used for volume and doesn’t leave clumps of mascara which is a massive pet peeve of mine.
Below are my natural lashes so you can see the difference. My lashes are naturally short and I have an annoying lash which points down. You will be able to see it better with mascara on. It’s very annoying but plucking it out hurts so much.
You can see the volume bourjois mascara really blackens my lashes. It clumps together nicely to give the effect of thicker lashes and is perfect with a nude eye as you wouldn’t really need to put eyeliner on as the mascara is so effective. I would use this if I was going out for the day or going to a party. My go to choice when I’m off out somewhere special.
The length mascara is more of a natural and subtle look. It lengthens the lashes and blackens them but doesn’t give as much impact as the Bourjois. This is a perfect mascara for everyday. It does give a degree of volume but it’s not as effective in that manner as the Bourjois in my opinion. It doesn’t clump and the brush combs through the lashes nicely. All round perfect for every day.
So, which was your favourite? Do you go for length or volume? Let me know in the comments below.
